Third Party Facilitation (TPF) is an underappreciated role that HR & OD practitioners play. In this episode, we explore the importance and complexity of TPF. Most third-party facilitations are confidential. Many involve conflict or very intimate situations that must be held in confidence. When there is a power differential involved, the work is more complex. TPF is not coaching and is not therapy. It takes creating a safe, neutral space for "understanding the misunderstanding" between two people so that right action can be taken.
